The clock is ticking down to Americana, Europe’s premier event for aficionados of Western riding. The full schedule of events is now available online.
The competitions start on 1 September, with the Masters Cutting Open, non Pro and Youth. The Sunday afternoon will see the first Americana championships of the year. Enrolment information and entry forms are on the Americana website.
Americana is open to non competitors from Wednesday 4th September to 8th September, with visitors expected from all over Europe, the USA and further afield. There’s no better way to get the full atmosphere of Western riding than at this world class event; combining top level sport , entertainment, a wealth of opportunity to increase your knowledge, and of course plenty of shopping. At the Americana Forum professional horseman and women will talk about starting horses, training and other aspects of horse management.
There’s a huge choice of ticket options, with some evening event tickets including free entry to the grounds and activities taking place in the day. Those buying a whole show pass will be able to enjoy all the evening events, the Wednesday and Thursday daytime events and full access to the fair every day. As in other years there will be events on Friday and Saturday evenings; tickets will sell out well in advance so book early.
After all the excitement of the days’ events, visitors and competitors can relax and soak up the Western atmosphere in Western Town by night, with live bands playing into the late hours at the Red Grizzly Saloon.
